Jolly — Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Last updated September 22, 2026

This service is operated by Sign With Jolly, LLC (“Jolly,” “we,” “us”). Jolly (jollyorders.com) is an order-management platform used by notary signing services, escrow and title companies, and independent notaries to coordinate loan-signing appointments. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the terms under which you use the service.

Who this covers

Signing-service and escrow/title company staff who use Jolly to manage orders; independent notaries who create a notary account; and signers whose names and contact details appear on an order placed by a company.

Information we collect

Account information — your name, email address, phone numbers, and business address, entered when an account is created for you or when you sign up.

Order information — signing dates, locations, signer names and contact details, loan type, delivery instructions, fees, and the documents a company uploads for a signing. Signing documents are stored securely, are available only to the company that placed the order and the notary assigned to it, and are deleted automatically after the company's retention period.

Notary credentials — notaries may upload their commission, E&O insurance, bond, background check, W-9, and similar documents so companies can verify them. Jolly never stores full Social Security or EIN numbers; a W-9 is stored only as the document you upload, and only its last four digits are recorded separately so you can tell which one is on file. Driver's licenses are not collected.

Usage information — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used to keep the service secure and working.

How we use it

To run the service: matching notaries to signings, sending order details and confirmations, tracking documents and scans, invoicing between companies and notaries, and providing notaries their own records (mileage, expenses, invoices). To keep accounts secure and to respond when you contact us. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Text messages (SMS) — messaging privacy policy

Program. Jolly sends text messages only to notaries who have opted in, and only about their signing work: new signing offers, assignments, appointment-confirmation requests, day-of reminders, document and scan-back updates, and account notices. Jolly does not send marketing or promotional text messages.

What we collect for messaging. Your mobile phone number, the notification switches you turn on, and a record of when you turned each one on (your consent). We collect this only from you, in your own Jolly account.

How we use it. Solely to deliver the text messages you opted in to and to honor your opt-out. Your number is not used for any other purpose.

Consent and opt-in. Text alerts are off by default. A notary opts in by turning on individual alert switches under Settings → Notifications in their Jolly account, where this consent statement is shown: "By enabling text notifications you consent to receive automated SMS messages about signing work at your mobile number on file. Message & data rates may apply. Turn any toggle off at any time to stop." The opt-in flow is described at app.jollyorders.com/sms.

Opting out and help. Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts immediately, or turn any switch off in Settings → Notifications. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@signwithjolly.com.

Frequency and rates. Message frequency varies with your signing activity; an active notary typically receives a few messages per signing. Message and data rates may apply.

No sharing of mobile information. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information and text-messaging opt-in data are used only to send you the messages you asked for.

Who we share information with

The companies and notaries you work with through Jolly see the information needed for the signing (for example, a company sees the credentials and contact details of a notary it assigns; a notary sees the signing details and documents for orders assigned to them). Service providers that help us run Jolly — hosting, database, email delivery, and text-message delivery — act as our subcontractors and process data only on our instructions to provide those services; they are not permitted to use it for their own purposes, and none of them receive mobile numbers or messaging consent for marketing. We may disclose information when required by law.

Retention

Account and order records are kept while the account is active and as needed for tax and business records. Signing documents are deleted automatically after the retention period set by the company that placed the order. You can ask us to delete your account by contacting us.

Send Documents

Jolly includes a Send Documents tool that lets a notary or company send PDF files to an email address of their choosing, including recipients who do not use Jolly. The files are stored encrypted, only for the recipient address entered by the sender, and are deleted automatically 7 days after sending (or sooner if the sender deletes them). The recipient must confirm that address before downloading. We keep a record of the send — sender, recipient address, file names and sizes, and the time of each download — so the sender has proof of delivery; the files themselves are not kept after the 7 days. The recipient’s download page identifies Jolly and briefly describes what Jolly does. If you receive documents this way and believe the tool is being misused, email hello@signwithjolly.com.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access is limited by account role, so each company and notary sees only their own information. Uploaded documents are not publicly accessible. Our Security Overview describes these protections in detail, including the service providers we use and how long signing documents are kept.

Cookies and local storage

Jolly does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking of any kind. There is no advertising network, no analytics package, and no tracking script in Jolly.

What we do store in your browser is what is needed to keep you signed in and to remember small choices you have made: your sign-in token and basic account details so you are not asked to sign in on every page, the branded sign-in page you last arrived through, and — for notaries — a token that remembers the device you have already confirmed, so you are not re-verified every time you open an order. These are stored by your browser, are readable only by Jolly, and are cleared when you sign out. Clearing your browser's site data removes them and simply signs you out.

Because we use none of this for advertising or tracking, Jolly does not show a cookie consent banner. Our hosting provider may set cookies strictly necessary to route and secure requests.

Your choices

You can update your profile and notification preferences in your account at any time. Contact us to access, correct, or delete your information.

Terms of service

Our full Terms of Use now live on their own page and are the controlling agreement. The summary below is kept here for reference; where it differs from the Terms of Use, the Terms of Use govern. Companies should also see our Data Processing Addendum.

By using Jolly you agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login private, and to use the service only for coordinating legitimate signings. Notaries are independent contractors of the companies that hire them, not of Jolly. Companies are responsible for the accuracy of the orders they place and for paying the notaries they assign. Jolly provides the platform as-is and is not a party to the signing itself. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service. We may update this page from time to time; the date at the top shows the current version.
